How do I play The Escape Hunt Experience? To answer this now would give away the whole surprise, so let’s just say it is one of the most exhilarating ways to spend 90 minutes with your friends. The adventure lasts for 60 minutes, but you should arrive 10 minutes before for your briefing and afterwards we offer you refreshments and a time for feedback and discussion, so allow 90 minutes in total (or more if you want to hang out with us). The adventure itself involves escaping from a room by solving a mystery. Sounds simple? Just try!
So how long does the adventure last? Each adventure is 60 minutes long and you need to arrive 10 minutes beforehand for the briefing. Afterwards, the de-briefing, discussion and refreshments will take around 30 minutes.
Can I play on my own? Our games are designed for 2–5 players and these are the recommended numbers of players, but if you really want to play alone you can! We are happy to accommodate you as a solo player, but remember it will be hard work! It is also a lot of extra work for our game masters, so we still need to charge our minimum rate for 2 players.
So how many people should play? We have tested all sorts of numbers but the ideal is a group of 2–6 players. For this reason we are quite strict about these team sizes now as we want to ensure that each and every Escape Hunt Experience is excellent.
Do we need to be really strong? Physical strength is not needed at all. We have designed our adventures to be as accessible for the most petite person to a body builder and every age group. You need skills other than brawn such as good searching skills and logical reasoning. Moving our solid furniture is not required.
Are there any age limits for The Escape Hunt Experience? We have tried the adventures with all ages and it is equally enjoyable for all age groups. For practical reasons, since this is a group activity and we need a certain level of maturity, we limit the minimum age to 10 years old, but there is no maximum age. We love kids, but this is an adult game and therefore younger children may not enjoy it. Also, there must be at least one player over 16 years of age playing in the room at all times.
Is The Escape Hunt Experience handicap accessible? We do our best to ensure our adventures are handicap-friendly. Please let us know if you have any special needs that require accommodation.
Do I need to use English? Yes, the whole Escape Hunt Experience concept is in English. You do NOT need to all be fluent in English to play as a team, as long as some members can read the English clues.
Will it be too difficult for me? It all depends on how well you follow the brief, work in a team and put your best effort into the adventure. Each adventure is designed to be tough, but not impossible. Our Game Masters are there to help you at all times, as they play in the room with you.
What if I don’t “escape”? Then you and your team will be eaten alive. Only kidding! You will still enjoy yourself whether you escape or not, we will make sure of that!
What if I don’t enjoy myself? We take every possible care to ensure that your experience with us is highly enjoyable and meets your expectations. We pride ourselves on our exceptional customer service and with us the customer is always right, so we will deal with any issue you might encounter and do whatever it takes to ensure that you have an excellent experience.
Do I need to wear any special clothes or bring anything? Please come in your usual clothes as we do not require any physical activity out of the ordinary. It is your brain we are after, so please make sure you bring that! Otherwise, we provide everything.
Can I come back and play again? Absolutely. We have several entirely different adventures and we change the adventures at regular intervals, so you’ll be able to test your skills over and over again!
